The central cross makes up the backbone of the AR.Drone 2.0. The tubes are made of carbon, and the motor brackets are made of PA 6.6 plastic. These materials were selected to make the cross both lightweight and resistant. The motor brackets each have two self-lubricating plain bearings for better shaft rotation. Disassembling and reassembling the motors is easy.
An arrow under the cross indicates how to insert it into the body of the AR.Drone 2.0. The cross contains two cable harnesses: one to power the motors and another to control the rotation speed. The two harnesses are divided into four and are terminated with connectors for each motor.
