When considering a project like this, the only option is a new edition in limited quantities (since I want to build it myself), with improved functionality and state-of-the-art acoustics.
So it was a logical step to adapt and adapt the famous, legendary GTC converter of the Edition 15 to the Founders Series.
The result is a sound that takes your breath away. While the 8, 10, and 12 Editions were already reference-class in terms of sound at the time, the Founders Series models based on them clearly eclipse them. Furthermore, all of them can be played in balanced mode when using the appropriate cable.
The very special advantages of extremely good passive noise suppression in the closed version and the extreme airiness in the open version, which is further improved by Venturi channels, are particularly well emphasized with the new tuning.
There is also a detachable connection cable with MMCX plugs, one or two carrying bags depending on the version, a case in wood or leather and sometimes even a wooden stand included.
This, however, is just as surprising as the material combination. You can choose between open and closed frames. Which version you get – whether with a wooden, aluminum, carbon, mother-of-pearl, ceramic clasp; with aluminum, ruthenium (glossy or matte), PVD, or palladium-finished lenses; whether with a black or silver temple, and so on – is a surprise.
One thing is certain: you will receive a highly exclusive, unique product, of which there is sometimes only one single piece.
