First words: the performance is the real deal. I wasn't sure what to expect, only had heard that going from a traditional spinning/magnetic drive to an SSD would be crazy, but.... yeah - it's true. Loading/boot times are dramatically faster. I can turn on the Laptop with everything loaded in less than 8 seconds whereas it used to take several minutes.
Back to the SSD itself though - yeah, it IS really that fast. For the price, this has got to be one of the best improvements you can make to your system, especially if you're still using a traditional hard drive like I was. Highly recommended.
P.S. They're tiny! I wasn't expecting them to be just this small. It's about the size of my index finger/a stick of gum. Half terabyte in that size....... guess the future really is here!
