The PC-less scan saves scanned data to the chosen destination, either direct to network folders or FTP servers, all from the 4.3 inch touch screen.

A compact design meets high-functioning capabilities, with a small footprint (11.5 x 6.2 x 5.6 in) and a capacity of 6,000 sheets daily. The fi-8040 has an ADF capacity of 50 sheets with handling paper weights of 40 to 209 gsm (11 to 56 lb). With overlap detection and length detection built in, scans will never get cut off or skewed.
The scanner handles a wide range of documents, including plastic cards and A3, bi-folded, and multi-layered documents without the need for a carrier sheet. Plastic cards up to a thickness of 0.7mm can be read as well. The CIS sensor and GI images processing engine produce high quality images by suppressing the occurrence of color shifts. Clear Images Capture software increases image definition for data extraction without using extra power.
Connect via USB 3.2 or wired ethernet for network scanning capabilities. PaperStream IP (TWAIN/TWAIN x64/ISIS) scanner driver automatically converts images into clean images even when scanning well-worn documents. PaperStream Capture optimizes workflow during batch scanning by detecting various capture features, speeding up your scanning jobs and increasing productivity.
