The ANT24-1200 is ideal for operating in modes such as point-to-point WDS and others that require a high gain directional antenna. An example application of this antenna is to extend your local area network (LAN) by connecting LANs at two physically separated locations. Alternatively, Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) subscribers can also use this antenna to establish a strong connection between their host and to their ISP's outdoor AP.
Another application is to connect this antenna to a host operating in the AP mode. By mounting the antenna on a high pole, RF signals from the antenna can be beamed towards one direction to reach multiple wireless clients. Capable of sending signals to an extended range, this antenna can be installed at public places such as convention halls or airport hotspots to provide Intranet or Internet access to users needing wireless connection for their computers, PDA and other devices.
