- First released in 1977, the OneStep camera was Polaroid’s first ever truly point-and-shoot instant camera. Using the same integral film as Polaroid SX-70 folding cameras, the OneStep differed from its predecessor in a number of ways, featuring a solid body design, a fixed-focus lens and a simple lighten/darken wheel for slight adjustments. It’s this simplicity which empowered the Polaroid OneStep to achieve its goal – bringing instant photography to the masses.
